The MDG is delighted to announce Kelly Bylica as the new Assistant Editor of the MDG Newsletter. Welcome, Kelly! We thank Jason Huxtable for his years of service to this newsletter and wish him well.
The deadline for the MDG colloquium is fast approaching. Please submit calls for proposals no later than February 6th. The MDG colloquium this year will be held in Xalapa, Veracruz, Mexico, and combined with the International Society for Music Education (ISSME; deadline January 15). Other upcoming conferences include the Spirituals Project National Conference, Colloque Musique, politiques culturelles et identités, Gordon Institute of Music Learning Theory, and Early Childhood Music & Movement.
The MDG also wishes to congratulate MDG member Andrew Goodrich on the publication of Peer Mentoring in Music Education: Developing Effective Student Leadership.
