MDG remembers Susan Conkling

Dear MDG friends,

The MayDay Group was saddened this week to learn of the death of Susan Wharton Conkling. Susan was a Professor of Music Education at the College of Fine Arts, Boston University. She mentored hundreds of music educators, and was a dear friend to many of our members.
If you would like to read more about Susan’s life and contributions, Boston University has published a statement here. The MayDay Group extends deepest sympathies to Susan’s family and friends. We are grateful for her friendship, compassion, and kindness; and her exceptional contributions to music education.
Danielle Sirek, Editor
on behalf of The MayDay Group
